Step 4:
Access to your hosts file by typing these into your terminal:
sudo nano /private/etc/hosts
then hit „Enter“. It might require a password, depending whether you have set a password for your mac (the login password). Normally it doesn’t.
Step 5:
Add these into you hosts file:
127.0.0.1 obdev.at
then, „ctrl+x“ to save then press „y“ then hit „Enter“ (for detail, see indications on screen)
Close the terminal.
Step 6:
On you mac, go to System Preference, and then click „Security and Privacy“.
Step 7:
Once you in there, go to the Firewall tab, click onto the little padlock on the bottom left corner to allow changes to be made. Then click on the „Firewall Options…“
Step 8:
Then click on the „+“ to add application, now select Little Snitch Agent:
/Library/Little Snitch
After that, it should be automatically set to „Allow incoming connections“, change it to „Deny incoming connections“
Do the same for Little Snitch Configuration:
/Applications
Step 9:
Go to the Little Snitch folder in Library, then delete the file call „Little Snitch Update“ (or something like that)
/Library/Little Snitch
Step 10:
Block Little Snitch using Little Snitch!!! Open up Little Snitch Configuration. Click „New“, then select „Deny connections“, choose the Little Snitch Agent, then click „OK“
Do the same for Little Snitch Configuration.
Step 11:
Add another new rule, this time for „All Applications“. Choose „Deny connections“, then on the Sever sections, select „Hostnames“, then type in:
www.obdev.at
then click „OK“
Step 12:
Just to make sure everything is fine, go to their website: www.obdev.at
If it shows up „Cannot display page“ then you are good to go!!
Enter the serial key (it comes with the downloaded folder) on Little Snitch Configuration’s Preference tab.
Step 13:
Reboot the computer and enjoy!
